You’ll find that Wiltshire is a great county to raise a family in, and that includes when it comes to education. The county is home to over 330 schools, with 270 primary and 46 secondary and sixth form. As many as 13 of those primary schools are rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted, and 175 as “Good”. Four of Wiltshire’s 46 secondary and sixth form schools are rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted, and 34 as “Good”.
As a mostly rural county, Wiltshire is heaven for lovers of the outdoors, with miles and miles of stunning countryside to enjoy. The Cotswolds sit to the north of Wiltshire, Cranborne Chase AONB to the south, with the North Wessex Downs to the east. In fact, nearly half of the county is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wiltshire also offers fantastic hiking, cycling, horse-riding, golf, and more.
