Hat Trick of Success at Homebuilder Safety Awards

Three was the magic number for Wain Homes at the Homebuilder Safety Awards 2025, with developments from our North West, Severn Valley and South West regions all being declared winners in the Best Medium Builder category.

Kingsley Manor, in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire won The North award; Hillwood Gardens in Coventry, West Midlands picked up The Midlands prize, and Oakdene in Lifton, Devon, was named best in The South West at the gala dinner to mark the culmination of this year’s prestigious awards.

More than 300 sites were entered in this year’s awards, with Wain Homes winning three of the five medium-size builder regional titles. 

The independent national Homebuilder Safety Awards is the ultimate recognition of the housebuilding sector and recognises the fantastic work being done by the best housebuilders in the country.

Each nominated site had two independent inspections by H&S professionals who had no connection to the site or site management team, during which body cameras were worn to record as much information as possible. Inspection criteria included the management of H&S paperwork, workforce engagement and construction operations.

The inspections were then assessed by an independent judging panel made up of H&S professionals before the gala presentation night, held at The Grand Hotel Birmingham.

“The safety and wellbeing of everyone who works on, or visits, a Wain Homes development is paramount, and to have our processes and procedures so rigorously assessed and recognised by industry professionals is hugely rewarding. This achievement reflects the high standards we set across all our developments. Well done to everyone involved.”
