North West Golfers Swing Into Action for Mind
Our North West region’s annual golf day was a huge success, raising more than £6,700 for the mental health charity Mind.
The event, held at Warrington Golf Club, saw 84 golfers representing 21 teams from the property and construction sectors compete, with DDG Plumbing of Stockport winning on the day.
An auction of donated prizes, including a golf day at The Belfry, added to the final amount raised.
Michael Johnson, Wain Homes North West’s operations director who organised the event, said: “Mind is a charity which is close to the hearts of many of our North West colleagues and is our region’s current charity of the year.
“Everyone at Wain Homes would like to thank all the players who took part in our competition, placed bids in the auction and to all our sponsors on the day. We know the money we raised will be put to excellent use to support people experiencing mental health issues.”
Mind is a charity which ensures people living with mental health problems find the help they need, fights mental health stigma and campaigns for a better future for everyone.
