Wain Homes Showcases Apprenticeship Opportunities at Exeter College Expo

Staff, Group News

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, our South West region proudly took part in the Exeter College Apprenticeship Expo, engaging with students and highlighting the exciting career pathways available within the construction and housebuilding industry.

Representing Wain Homes at the event was Aimee Thorogood, supported by colleagues Chloe Gerrard, Ebony Hayler, Tiegan Flay, and Daniel Mountstevens. Together, the team met with students throughout the day, offering insights into the wide variety of apprenticeships available and discussing how hands-on training can pave the way for a successful career in the sector.

The Expo provided an excellent platform for young people to explore real-world opportunities and discover how apprenticeships can help them build valuable skills while earning and learning. The enthusiasm and curiosity shown by attendees reflected a strong interest in pursuing careers in construction, an industry that continues to evolve and offer long-term prospects.

Speaking after the event, Aimee Thorogood said:

“It was fantastic to attend the Exeter College Apprenticeship Expo and see so many enthusiastic young people engaging with the opportunities apprenticeships offer. Events like this play a vital role in shaping the future workforce and inspiring the next generation of talent in the construction and housebuilding industry.”

Wain Group remains committed to supporting emerging talent and providing meaningful pathways into the industry through high-quality apprenticeship programmes.
