IT Administrator (Junior / Graduate) - Severn Valley regional office

Location: ​​Bristol (BS32 4PY)

Reports to:​​Head of IT

Hours:​​​37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This IT Administrator - 1st line (Junior / Graduate) role will be based in our Wain Homes Severn Valley regional office in Bristol, with occasional travel to our Wain Homes South West regional office in Exeter,  and to our Head Office in Warrington. The successful candidate will also be part of the wider IT support team but be the sole IT  Administrator for our Severn Valley region.

 

There is also a requirement for regular travel to our developments (sites) in our Severn Valley operational area.

 

Key responsibilities:

Logging service desk support tickets taken by phone or email.
Speaking with end users on the phone as part of the helpdesk role.
Gathering Information and resolving technical issues, escalating as required.
Documentation and updating of documentation.
Build and setup of new Laptops, mobile phones and tablets.
Occasional visits to site for setups and troubleshooting.
Opportunity to get involved with in-house IT projects in house.
Installing or changing software to fix issues (Windows patching, PDQ deploy).                           
Remotely accessing hardware or software for clients to make changes and fix problems.
Providing technical assistance for general questions and problems.
Desk-side assistance as required for regional HQ or site visits.
Resolving problems 1st line issues, i.e. printing, desktops, 4G routers.
Triage of incoming support tickets from all regions.
Assist with additional duties and tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Adding and removing users from Office 365.

Teams and 8 x 8 Telephony

Key Competencies: 

Flexible approach to working

Ability to learn on the job.
Full UK driving licence with suitable transport for travelling to site.
Willingness to travel as needed.

Essential requirements: 

Formal IT qualifications or relevant experience
Full UK Driving licence
Own a vehicle for travel between sites

 

Relevant training and accreditation: 

The following would be advantageous but not essential: VMWare administration, Office 365 Admin, Azure Admin.
