Air / Ground Source Heat Pumps (A/GSHPs)

Unlike conventional boilers, A/GSHPs harness ambient air to generate warmth, making them highly energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Homeowners can relish reduced** energy bills due to the system's exceptional efficiency, along with eligibility for various green energy incentives. A/GSHPs also contribute to a significant drop in carbon emissions, aligning with the global push for sustainable living. In integrating A/GSHPs technology, Wain Homes not only embrace modern, eco-conscious living but also position themselves at the forefront of a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Waste Water Heat Recovery System

Another notable inclusion is the Waste Water Heat Recovery System, which captures and repurposes heat lost during shower drainage. This technology pre-heats fresh cold mains water entering the home, alleviating the strain on your boiler and reducing the energy required to reach desired water temperatures. This results in both energy savings and cost reduction.

Solar Photovoltaic Panels

Our homes* are now equipped with Solar Photovoltaic Panels that harness the sun's energy, converting it into electricity for household use. Strategically placed on either the front or back of the roof based on property orientation, these panels contribute to a significant reduction in electricity bills.

Decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation

Prioritising indoor air quality, our energy-efficient ventilation solution incorporates small fans in bathrooms and kitchens. These fans extract stale air, ensuring a comfortable and healthy living environment for you and your family.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Points

All our homes will have an EV charging point by 2025 so you no longer need to make frequent trips to public charging stations. Home charging allows overnight replenishment, ensuring a full battery each morning and providing peace of mind for daily commutes. Moreover, the cost-effectiveness of home charging is noteworthy, often translating to lower electricity rates compared to public charging stations. This setup contributes to significant time and financial savings over the long term. Home-based charging also supports grid management by encouraging off-peak charging, promoting energy efficiency. In essence, having an EV Charging Point at home not only simplifies the charging process but also enhances the overall efficiency and affordability of electric vehicle ownership.

Additional Savings Features

Beyond the highlighted technologies, our homes boast highly thermally efficient insulation and argon-filled double-glazing as standard. This not only welcomes natural sunlight but also minimises heat loss, reinforcing our commitment to energy efficiency and potential cost savings for homeowners. Smart Metres also come as standard in our homes, allowing you to easily track your usage and energy costs for gas & electric. For water, we have installed the latest water efficient fittings in your shower(s) & toilets with the aim to reduce your total water consumption per day.
