Andrew and Lucy Bottomley moved into a four bedroom Watergate property at Saxon Meadows, in South Cerney, in March of 2022 – three years after first visiting the development.
Andrew and Lucy Bottomley – Saxon Meadows
We have bought seven new build properties over 25 years and this is the best house with the best finish. We cannot fault the build team.
Andrew explained: “We came to look just as work was starting and liked the area but ended up buying another new build about ten miles away that was actually a bit of a nightmare with lots of problems.
“We wanted to be closer to Cirencester so came to look again and absolutely loved the development. The amount of open space and the way it is laid out is very generous and our house has a big stone wall round the garden and is full of character.
“As well as a great design the quality of the brickwork and finishes inside were very good and you can tell that Wain Homes put a big emphasis on build quality. It really shows and the site manager was absolutely first class.”
As well as being very happy with their new home the couple are loving the local community. While Lucy still works full time and commutes to Cirencester, Andrew is retired and enjoys all the social activities in the area, from the local golf club to bridge.
He said: “The area is so friendly we have met lots of new people and we can walk into the village for all our daily needs.
“We are perfectly placed for so many things and are really settled. It may have taken three years to get here but it was obviously meant to be!”
