Festive Joy at Christmas Tree Festival

Wain Homes West Midlands supported the annual Christmas Tree Festival at the Holy Trinity Church at Eccleshall, this year.

A wonderful 52 Norman Fir Trees, all decorated by the community, lined the aisles of the historic Grade1 listed church for a weekend of celebration.

Wain Homes sponsored two of the trees which were then decorated by students at Walton Hall Academy and the young members of Eccleshall Cubs who made the decorations themselves.

Hundreds of visitors attended over the three days of the festival to enjoy music from local school children, local choirs and musicians and the event raised almost £6,000 for the Church.

Festival organiser Nancy Reynolds said: “The trees are supplied by the local family run, Bishops Offley Christmas trees, and it was wonderful to have so many, so wonderfully decorated. It was generous of Wain Homes to sponsor two of the trees and pay for decorations which allowed two more groups to take part in this very special traditional event.”

Nikki Clifton from Walton Hall school said: “With very little money in the budget to be able to buy anything to allow us to do things like this, we are so grateful to Wain Homes for the kind donation and the opportunity it gave some of our students.  It was lovely to be able to make decorations with them and be able to take a few to the church to help decorate the tree. This is not something many of our students have done before so they were very excited to be asked to come.”

Bianca Cullis, head of sales for Wain Homes West Midlands, said: “We are developing new homes at Shropshire Heights in the nearby village of Loggerheads with sales launching soon and a show home opening early in 2023.

“As a company, we want to play our part in the community and this was such a lovely event to be involved with. It was a magical way to start Christmas time.”
