As the phrase goes, ‘when the going gets tough - the tough get going’ and a fearless team from Wain Homes’ Severn Valley region climbed, crawled and scrambled through mud to raise money for charity.
When the Going Gets Tough
Led by sales director Sarah Williams and technical director Jeremy Johnson, the team took part in the challenging 15km Tough Mudder at the Badmington Estate in Gloucester.
The ‘after’ photo is evidence of their commitment to the cause and the sponsorship on the day takes the amount of money raised for the division’s chosen charity, Grief Encounter, to an impressive £15,000.
Sarah said: “Grief Encounter provides specialist counselling to children and young adults who have lost someone close to them and is a real lifeline to help them cope.
“It was a tough challenge but as a team we all helped each other through and it was very satisfying to reach the end knowing we had raised more money for this wonderful charity.”
