Lilies Show Home Comes to Couple’s Rescue

When a Swindon couple’s search for a new home was proving difficult, the buyer for their home was beginning to get impatient and the chain risked breaking down.

With the pressure mounting, it looked like Mr and Mrs Pryce and their two children would be back to square one. But a call to Wain Homes’ sales executive, Ann-Marie Silver, at The Lilies at Tadpole Garden Village in Swindon turned their fortunes around.

Mr Pryce explains: “We were keen to buy a new build home and we were well down the line of purchasing from another developer in the Blunsdon area. However, we uncovered some problems with the property and with our buyer needing a quick decision it looked like we risked losing them, but we simply couldn’t proceed with buying the house.

“That’s when we called Ann-Marie and she invited us to look around the Weymouth show home at The Lilies and we instantly fell in love with it. There was just one problem, it wasn’t yet on the market for sale.

“Ann-Marie took the time to listen to our story and understood the position we were in. Within four hours of our visit one Saturday morning, she had contacted Wain Homes’ management and got them to agree to sell us the show home. We even had the opportunity to keep all the show home furniture, so our home was ready to simply walk into.”

The family moved into their new four-bedroom Weymouth housetype in March this year and immediately felt settled.

“Tadpole Garden Village is lovely; it’s close to the children’s school, near to the local amenities, great for local walks and there is a pub close by” explains Mr Pryce.

“Our property is close to the park which the children love and the whole community has a very strong family feel where we all feel safe.”

The home itself is also perfect for the couple’s working arrangements. The study is ideal for working from home and the development’s location is great for commuting into Swindon.

It was a story which very nearly didn’t happen and what could have been a very stressful time for the family ended on a positive note.

Mr Pryce said: “If it wasn’t for Ann-Marie, we wouldn’t be where we are today. The team at Wain Homes went above and beyond to help us make this move happen and we are delighted it ended here.

“We loved our old home, which was also a new build property and we didn’t think we would find another which matched its quality and style, but that’s exactly what we’ve got at The Lilies.”
