Two Senior Appointments at Wain Homes South West

Our South West region has announced two senior appointments as it works towards delivering ambitious growth plans.

 

Former Barratt and Taylor Wimpey sales manager Hannah Blackbourn has joined the business as sales director and will focus on ensuring a best-in-class customer journey whilst developing a clear career progression pathway for colleagues.

 

Scott Brown has also joined Wain Homes South West as construction director. With 15 years’ director level experience in Scotland with Barratt, Lovell and Keepmoat, Scott’s objectives are to deliver consistently exemplary performance across all aspects of construction, including build quality, health and safety, sub-contractor relations and people development.

 

Steve Goldsworthy, acting managing director of Wain Homes South West, said: “Attracting talent such as Hannah and Scott, who have both joined us from PLC backgrounds, shows the appeal of working for a progressive, independent housebuilder where people are given the opportunity to determine and develop the way we deliver attractive, sustainable, high quality new communities and I am excited to welcome them both to our region.”

Hannah and Scott join Wain Homes as the business in Exeter is working towards a period of strategic growth whist maintaining the highest standards of construction excellence. The company has recently been rated as a five-star builder by its customers and abides by the New Homes Quality Code, an independent industry code introduced to champion quality new homes and better consumer outcomes.

 

Hannah said: “I was attracted by Wain’s ethos that we can be different and everybody has input into how we achieve our objectives. We don’t just build houses, we create homes and communities and I’m looking forward to supporting a team who can all see how their input is valued and encouraged and benefits our customers.”

 

Scott added: “This is a great time to join Wain Homes. We have an exciting strategy and I have been encouraged to look at our construction with a fresh pair of eyes to ensure we build on our five-star status and continually over-deliver in terms of customer satisfaction and colleague wellbeing.”

 

Hannah and Scott will be based at Wain Homes’ Exeter International Office Park headquarters. The South West region is currently selling from eight developments across Devon and Cornwall.
