The city hosts many festivals including the Stoke-on-Trent Literary Festival, Winter Wonderland and the Big Feast outdoor arts festival. Championship football team Stoke City are also based in the heart of the city, whilst The Potteries Centre is a hub for shopping, cinema and eating out.
Stoke is famed as the centre of pottery making in the UK, with The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, The Gladstone Pottery Museum and Spode Museum Trust Heritage Centre all great places to learn about the city’s history.
