Heywood is a town with a long history, and whilst it retains much of its heritage it’s very much a vibrant community today. The town is home to plenty of local, independent shops, cafes and restaurants, plus national chain stores and supermarkets. It also hosts a variety of events and festivals throughout the year, including The Heywood Food and Drink Festival.
For those who lead an active lifestyle, the town offers plenty of opportunities for fitness and playing sports. The A58 runs through Heywood with fast road access to Bury and Rochdale, whilst the M62 connects to the M60 Manchester Ring Motorway.
