Fleetwood was a town revitalised by the landowner Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood in the 19th century. That past is still very much evident today in Fleetwood’s abundance of Victorian era architecture, including its two famous lighthouses, granting Fleetwood a charming, attractive character.

 

With more recent regeneration projects however, Fleetwood is very much a modern thriving British town. Of course, a big benefit of living in Fleetwood is its coastal location. Fleetwood shares seven miles of broad sandy beaches with other resorts on the Fylde Coast, including Blackpool.
